This tour visits the most popular places of Turkey located on West and Central Turkey. You start exploring Turkey with Istanbul and drive to South by visiting Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamon and Ephesus on West coast. The tour continue to inland of Asia Minor by visiting Pamukkale and Cappadocia at the end. This is a combined tour with land transport provided by comfortable vehicles on daily short drives. The final return to Istanbul is with flight. The tour has a quarantee departure.
Day 1 : Arrival to Istanbul : One of our colleagues will be waiting for you at the arrival hall bearing a sign with your name on it. You will be greeted by a courteous member of our staff who will load your luggage into your private transfer van and take you directly to your hotel. Accommodation in Istanbul. (No meal included)
Day 2 : Istanbul City Tour : Pick up time is about 08.30 from the hotel. You will visit : Topkapi Palace (Harem section is extra), Caferaga Madrasah, Roman Hippodrome. After lunch you will see: St.Sophia Museum, Blue Mosque, Million stone, Tomb of Sultan Mahmud and ancient Ottoman cemetery, Cemberlitas (Burnt Column) and the tour ends about 16:30 with free time at the Grand Bazaar. You will be advised by your guide for getting back to your hotel on your own. Please note that Hagia Sophia closed on Monday, Topkapi Palace on Tuesday and Grand Covered Bazaar is closed on Sunday. Day 3: Dolmabahce Palace Tour & Bosphorus Cruise: You will be picked up from your hotel at around 08:30 for Dolmabahce Palace & Yildiz Royal Gardens Tour. We firstly visit Dolmabahce Palace, recent residence for Ottoman Sultans. Famous with great collection of European antiquity, furniture and 4.5 tons chandelier, the palace has 285 rooms of 46 halls. After palace the next stop is Yildiz Royal Garden. We take a walk in the imperial gardens ornamented with some kiosks and beautiful vegetation in the middle of Istanbul. Then drive to the restaurant for lunch break. After lunch, you will first drive by Golden Horn shores viewing the City Walls, dating back to the Byzantine Era. Then you will reach Eyup area, where you will take a short cable-car ride up to Pierre Loti Hill, where you can get one of the most magnificent views of Istanbul and Golden Horn. Pierre Loti Hill, is named after French author Pierre Loti (Louis Marie Julien Viaud) who fell in love with Istanbul at first sight, and frequented in the area a lot. After a short stop at the hill, you will get on the vehicle and drive to Eminonu, where you will get on the boat for a 2-hour Bosphorus Cruise. You will see the most impressive sights along the shores of the Bosphorus including Dolmabahce Palace, Ciragan Palace, Maiden´s Tower, Bosphorus bridges, Rumeli and Anadolu fortresses and Ottoman Residences. After the cruise, you will be dropped off back at your hotel at around 17:00. Accommodation in Istanbul. (breakfast at hotel, lunch on the tour)
Day 4 : Gallipolli Tour : You will be picked up from your hotel at 06:30 – 07:00 am and drive Eceabat which takes about 5 hours for full day Gallipolli Tour. You will visit : Kabatepe War Museum, Beach Cemetery (John Simpson´s Grave), ANZAC Cove, Ari Burnu (First ANZAC landing place), Lone Pine Cemetery (Australian memorial), Johnston´s Jolly (Walk in the ANZAC trenches), View Shrapnel Valley, Turkish Memorial, The Nek and Walker´s Ridge, Chunuk Bair (Main New Zealand memorial). After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel. (lunch on the tour) Accommodation in Canakkale.
Day 5 : Troy and Pergamon Tour : Pick up from the hotel at 08.30 am for the tour of Ancient Troy. It is one of the most important ancient cities in the world and very popular by the book of Homer´s Ilyada. A great mythological and historical background attracted many scientist, archeologists, adventurer and treasure hunters. You will be served a lunch pack and then drive to Pergamon, once the ancient world´s major power and center of learning and the arts. Visit the ancient Library, once held 200.000 books, Temple of Athena, Temple of Trojan, Altar of Zeus and the Gymnasium situated on terraces and the lower Agora. Afterwards, you will drive to your hotel in Kusadasi (breakfast at the hotel and lunch on the tour) - Accommodation in Kusadasi.
Day 6 : Ephesus and Virgin Mary´s House Tour : The pick up time is 09.00 am from the hotel for full day Ephesus Ancient City and Virgin Mary´s House Tour. You will visit Ephesus which is known to be the Commercial, the Religious and the Social Center of Antiquity, and one of the Highlights of any Visit in Turkey. After the lunch, you will drive to Temple of Artemis (Diana), the site of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world; House of Virgin Mary, probably where She spent recent years of Her life; Isa Bey Mosque, this impressive mosque from XIV. Century A.D. is unlike any other you will see in this country. Return to the hotel about 17.30. You will have some free time after the tour. Day 7 : Pamukkale Travertenies and Hierapolis Ancient City : After breakfast, departure for Pamukkale about 08.30 am (3.5 hrs drive time) which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblence to cotton piles that it is called 'Cotton Castle' in Turkish. Visit the travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath. You may also swim at Roman Thermal Pool by paying extra on your own. Thus, you shall have your swimming suites with you. . Return to the hotel about 18.00. .After the tour you will have a overnight bus to Cappadocia which takes 10 hours. Day 8 : North Cappadocia Tour : You will be met at the bus station in Cappadocia and transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage. The tour starts about 09.30 am from your hotel in the morning, Marvel at the unique fairy chimneys in the Devrent Valley followed by a visit to Pasabag (also known as Monk’s Valley), to see the fascinating mushroomshaped pinnacles. After lunch at Avanos visit the ancient rock-cut churches and Christian settlements of the Göreme open air museum, finally heading to the natural castle of Üçhisar. Then return to the hotel about 17.30. (lunch on the tour) Accommodation in Cappadocia
Day 9 : South Cappadocia Tour : Depart from your hotel at 09.30 am for a tour Visit Red Valley,and explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 5 kms through the Güllüdere valley. Then visit Çavusin, famous for the houses and churches of the Christian clegymen. After lunch in Pigeon Valley visit the underground city of Kaymakli, which was home to the early Christians, finally heading to the natural castle of Ortahisar to conclude your Cappadocia tour. (breakfast at the hotel and lunch on the tour ). You will be transferred to the bus station for the overnight bus back to Istanbul. (11 hrs)
Day 10 : End of the tour : Arrival to Istanbul about 07:00 in the morning. Upon your arrival to Esenler Bus Station, you may use the free shuttle to get to Sultanahmet Square or use the public transportation to get to Ataturk Airport.
